How to link your bank to JamCash with SimpleFIN

To link a bank, open Connections in JamCash, choose Link new bank, open SimpleFIN Bridge to connect your bank and generate a setup token, paste the token into JamCash, and choose Connect & sync. JamCash claims the token once, then pulls the last 90 days of accounts and transactions.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open SimpleFIN Bridge

In JamCash, go to Connections and choose Link new bank, then Open bridge. Sign in to SimpleFIN Bridge, connect your bank there, and generate a setup token.

  2. 2

    Paste your setup token

Copy the setup token from SimpleFIN Bridge and paste it into the Setup token box in JamCash.

  3. 3

    Connect and sync

Choose Connect & sync. JamCash claims the token, which works only once, and pulls your accounts and the last 90 days of transactions.

  4. 4

    Choose what syncs

On Connections, turn sync off for any account you would rather keep by hand. Manual accounts are never touched by a sync.

JamCash stores only the read-only access link that SimpleFIN issues for your setup token. It is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it reaches the database. Your bank username and password stay with SimpleFIN Bridge; JamCash never sees them.

What happens to transactions I have already edited?

Your edits win. If a sync brings a new version of a transaction you changed, JamCash keeps yours and puts the incoming version in a review queue on the Connections page, where you review it and mark it resolved.

How often does JamCash sync?

JamCash syncs when you ask it to: choose Sync now on the Overview or Connections page. Each run pulls the last 90 days, so a gap of a few weeks between syncs loses nothing.

On Connections, choose Disconnect. JamCash deletes the stored access link and keeps the transactions it already pulled. Reconnecting later needs a fresh setup token from SimpleFIN Bridge.
